O principal objetivo principal desse trabalho foi mapear e explorar de maneira descritiva a produção legislativa da CAPADR. O argumento central defendido no trabalho considerou que partidos políticos possuem grande influência sobre o processo legislativo de duas formas: na seleção de relatores e na ocupação da presidência. A hipótese do trabalho procurou verificar se a produção legislativa da CAPADR é caracterizada pela concentração em temas que se relacionam com os problemas enfrentados pelo setor agropecuário. A principal contribuição do trabalho está em fornecer evidências empíricas que sustentem a ideia que o Poder Legislativo se esforçou na apreciação de matérias de grande importância socioeconômica. Os resultados do trabalho apontaram que parlamentares de oposição possuem maiores chances de seres relatores na Comissão, e que os trabalhos na CAPADR se concentram na aprovação de projetos de leis que versam sobre crédito rural e normas de exportação, que são uma das áreas temáticas que mais afetam o desempenho do setor agropecuário desde a abertura comercial ocorrida na década de 90.CAPESWhat is the relationship between the pattern of parliamentary distribution and the profile of legislative production in the Committee on Agriculture, Livestock, Supply and Rural Development (CAPADR) in the Lula governments (2003-2010)? The main main objective of this work was to map and explore in a descriptive way the legislative production of the CAPADR. The central argument defended in the paper considered that political parties have great influence on the legislative process in two ways: in the selection of rapporteurs and in the occupation of the presidency. The hypothesis of the work sought to verify if the legislative production of the CAPADR is characterized by the concentration in themes that are related to the problems faced by the agricultural sector. The main contribution of the work is to provide empirical evidence to support the idea that the Legislative Power has made efforts in the appreciation of matters of great socioeconomic importance.
