Resumo: Leadership is the ability to encourage people to do what is proposed. The study objective was to describe sociodemographic and occupational characteristics of nurses; to conceptualize leadership in the view of nurses and nursing technicians; to identify the types of leadership among nurses; to determine the type of nursing leadership based on the perception of nursing technicians. The method utilized for this study was an exploratory, descriptive qualitative approach, conducted with 13 pairs of nurses and nursing technicians in the Primary Health Care (PHC). A semi-structured script validated by a committee of judges was used to identify nursing leadership. The script is composed of sociodemographic, professional, and leadership aspects. Bardin was utilized to perform content analysis, and the IRAMUTEQ program was used to facilitate the class categorization, as well as the graphical visualization of the results. From all nurses and nursing technicians (26), most were female (96.1%), with an age average of 37.8 years, and three years and seven months of working experience in their health unit. The leadership style in the nurses' speech presented a relationship between the two leadership styles: transformational/democratic and transactional/autocratic, where both styles are characteristic of the PHC nurse's leadership process. Nevertheless, words associated with transformational/democratic leadership, such as team, communication, and knowledge, were most evident and predominant. Therefore, it is possible to infer that in general, participants' speeches presented a relationship between transformational or democratic leadership based on the words mentioned: "Together," "Believe," "Human," and "Speak." However, it is highly relevant to mention that the nursing technicians emphasized the difficulties of teamwork and the importance of the nurse leader to know how to deal with conflict that may arise in the daily basis among the team, as the following words came up: "Coping", "Difficult", "Complicated". In conclusion, nurses use both leadership styles to lead their team.

In conclusion, nurses use both leadership styles to lead their team.A liderança pode ser definida como a capacidade de incentivar as pessoas a fazerem aquilo que foi proposto.Objetivou-sedescrever as características sociodemográficas e profissionais dos enfermeiros; conceituar liderança na visão da equipe de enfermagem;identificar os estilos de liderança dos enfermeiros; determinar osestilos de liderança dos enfermeiros pela percepção dos técnicos em enfermagem. Estudo exploratório descritivo, de abordagem qualitativa.Realizado com 13 duplas de enfermeiros e técnicos em enfermagem da atenção primária à saúde. Utilizou-se de um roteiro semi estruturado validado por comitê de juízes para identificar a liderança do enfermeiro, o qual é composto por parte sociodemográfica, profissional e por liderança. Procedeu-se à análise de conteúdo proposta Bardin e foi utilizado o programa IRAMUTEQ para facilitar a categorização das classes, bem como a visualização em gráficos dos resultados. Do total de enfermeiros e técnicos em enfermagem (26) verificou-se que a maioria era do sexo feminino (96,1%); com média de idade de 37,8 anos e que trabalhavam na unidade de saúde há um tempo médio de 3 a 7 meses. O estilo de liderar no discurso dos enfermeirosapresentou uma relação entre dois estilos de liderança: transformacional/democrático e transacional/autocrático, evidenciando que os dois estilos são inerentes ao processo de liderança do enfermeiro da atenção primária à saúde. Houve predominância e destaque de palavras como: equipe, comunicação, junto, acreditar, humano, falar e saber. Nesse sentido, pode-se inferir que de uma forma geral, os discursos dos participantes apresentaram uma relação com a liderança transformacional ou democrática. Entretanto, é importante salientar que os técnicos em enfermagem enfatizaram a dificuldade do trabalho em equipe e a importância do enfermeiro enquanto líder saber lidar com a equipe e com os problemas que surgem no cotidiano do trabalho, como mencionado: lidar, difícil, complicado.Conclui-se que o enfermeiro utiliza dos dois estilos de liderança para liderar a sua equipe.application/pdfhttp://bdtd.uftm.edu.br/retrieve/7118/Dissert%20Michelle%20O%20Guimaraes.pdf.jpgporUniversidade Federal do Triângulo MineiroPrograma de Pós-Graduação Stricto Sensu em Atenção à SaúdeUFTMBrasilInstituto de Ciências da Saúde - ICS::Curso de Graduação em Enfermagemhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessEnfermagem.Liderança.Atenção Primária à Saúde.Nursing.Leadership.Primary Health Care.Enfermagem de Saúde PúblicaEstilos de liderança: percepções da equipe de enfermagem da atenção primária à saúdeLeadership styles: perceptionsof the primary health care nursing teaminfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da UFTMinstname:Universidade Federal do Triangulo Mineiro (UFTM)instacron:UFTMLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
